Luna's story

Hi! I am Luna and I am ready to make you my new human. Sadly, my family moved and decided to leave me behind. I was devastated when I found myself in the animal shelter on death row. Luckily, my foster mom contacted BFPA and they took me in.

I tried hiding the fact that I am deaf, but they figured it out pretty quickly. I respond really well to hand signals. Foster mom says that I have “sit” mastered. We are still working on down, stay and some other commands. I love to learn and I will do just about anything for a treat. I like to play fetch with my toys. Boy do I love toys!! However, once I get my energy out, I really love to snuggle with my humans on the couch under a blanket. I will even sleep all night snuggled up with you in bed under the covers if you let me.  I will also sleep in my crate without fussing.

Because I am deaf, other dogs really scare me. They just come up right behind me and I cannot hear them. I would love a house without other dogs, but if you are the right human I would be willing to meet your dog and see how we work together. I did well with other dogs in the kennel because I could always see them and they didn't startle me.  I would really really love a yard. That way I can run and play fetch as much as I want without foster mom having to worry if I get loose. Apparently, if you are deaf and you get loose it is really scary for your human.

Please consider meeting me and letting me make you my human. I have so much love and personality to give. I also love kids as my former family had kids. I am so anxious to move into my forever home and be your best
friend.

FOSTER MOMS COMMENTS:

Luna is one of the most affectionate dogs I have ever met. She is very eager to please and loves nothing more then to snuggle on the couch.  Luna will be very loyal to you and will keep you laughing all day long. She stays in the crate while we are at work and while we sleep. She does great with the crate. She has not chewed up anything or caused any problems at all. Luna will not disappoint you! She is such a fun, loving and smart dog.

She loves to play with toys and go for long walks.  I think her favorite thing is to cuddle with a person on the couch.  She is looking for her furever home and hopes that you will consider adopting her.  This special girl will bring so much joy and satisfaction to your life.  She is the sweetest dog who deserves a great life.
